Its for a story. This place is unruly and reckless, the kind of place where you grow up to be either a pirate, sailor, or wench. One of my characters grew up on this island and is a merchant sailor with a daughter whose mom is kind of a random wench that’s not really mentioned in the story much.
Any ideas?
I like Hasker, no need for more answers.

I’m thinking in terms of a pirate speaking…
I’m sure its been said before but I just came up with this for an engraving on a flask. How should punctuation be added?

Like This But The Whole Thing:
Sparrow once worked for the East India Trading Company and captained the Wicked Wench. When he refused to transport slaves, he was branded a pirate and his ship was ordered sunk by Lord Cutler Beckett, a company agent. Sparrow then bargained with Davy Jones to raise his ship, which he rechristened the Black Pearl.

I think the music companies and / or the media are trying to demonize their own customers.
In legal terms, what has murder and robbery on the high seas (ie Piracy) got to do with copyright infringement?
I think a high court judge would agree that someone found guilty of downloading copyrighted material from the internet would get in trouble for copyright infrindgement… but not theft.
Watch out the little © will report you to record compnies for being a pirate ! Eye Eye me harties…

Should I paint them a particular color or just leave them plain or get long nails or what? The costume is sort of a sexy pirate’s wench kind of thing.
Thanks!

It is a costume drinking party with friends. we thought we would have people draw their pirate names out of a chest n have to draw one and wear name tags. We will be hitting the bars later in the evening. Thought this might be funny. Any ideas?

Ahrrrr! I might be the crusty one-eyed nutcase way up in the crow’s nest peering at everyone and everything with a "pirate scope".

I bought this costume yesterday
http://www.displaycostume.com/store/product.php?productid=53194
along with maroon lip gloss and black eyeshadow. The thing is, I figure too many people will just call me a pirate and not a wench. I don’t know what this costume was aiming at anyway… How should I accessorize to be a wench?

I love historical novels especially if they have romance in it. I have read and loved:
-all of Eva Ibbotson’s historical novels
-The Princess Bride by William Goldman
-A Great and Terrible Beauty series by Libba Bray
-Victoria and the Rogue and Nicola and the Viscount by Meg Cabot.
So can anyone recommend some other YA hitorical romance please? Thanks.
ps: Others I’ve read:
The Luxe
Ophelia by Lisa Klein
To Catch A Pirate
Oh and please don’t recommend any classics. English is not my first language so I can’t really understand classics. I’ve tried it before.
