For instance, what stops someone from setting up a crystal meth lab on a boat that remains in international waters, with components for equipment and supplies ferried in periodically(each shipment not contsituting paraphernalia in itself due to assembly requirements or some other creative justification). Assume that there is no distribution or intent to distribute within the jurisdiction of any nation or state, and that all substances produced are consumed where they are produced, on the high seas. Corollary question is "what laws might permit one’s home country to prosecute such conduct upon re-entry?". Apply the laws of your own home country or such other country whose laws you know when answering. This is academic, not practical.

Let’s say I’m on a cruise boat that’s just entered international waters, or the "high seas."
Lots of cruise boats open their onboard casinos at this time. There is no legal restrictions to the games they offer.
Could I, theoretically, legally take someone back to my room and spread a blackjack game? (which of course is illegal to do inside most countries)
Funny as it sounds, this is a serious question! I really would be interested in doing such a thing, despite the dangers of extremely angry players!
Thanks for your help.

It’s laughable and pathetic. Israel takes control of humanitarian ships in international waters and then sails those people to Israel under threat of force and then upon being forcibly brought to Israel those activists are arrested and charged with entering Israel illegally? Lol……has Israel totally lost the plot?
I wonder what would happen should any activists refuse to sign voluntary deportation papers and seek to take their illegal capture and nonsensical arrest to the Israeli courts? How would the Israeli courts address such a situation?
Lol, if I am wrong then by all means set the record straight.

So.. the plan would be a cruise ship stocked with tons of drugs IN INTERNATIONAL WATERS.. where people would come out to take vacations. It would be called the Drug Boat and we would ferry passengers and supplies from all over to the Drug Boat for vacations. We could also make all the illegal stuff like gamling and protitution avalible on this boat as well.
Of course the boat wouuld only ever come into harbor when it needed repairs since it would have to dump all the drugs and stop the illicit activity when it came into port to abide by the law… but at that point there would be nothing to arrest anyone for.
I know this is silly but tell me why this wouldn’t work?

As global awareness of Israeli terrorism continues to grow following the May 31 Mavi Marmara assault, an especially vocal critic is the Belgian-based Brussels Tribunal. On June 6, this writer interviewed a member of its executive committee, Dr. Ian Douglas. His words reflect the gravity of our current situation.
“Israel is seemingly unconcerned about committing murder in front of the eyes of the world,” said Douglas. Commenting specifically on their attack of a humanitarian aid ship in international waters, he said unabashedly: “This is not murder; it is destruction. There is a level of violence here that is sadistic and vengeful".
The genesis of this situation began when high-level powerbrokers illegally seized land and created a rogue nation in 1948.
“Israel simply cannot face up to its own bloody origin,” said Douglas. “It is a settler state, founded in violence by individuals who came from outside Arab countries.”

I can see it if a crime happened in our waters, but who gave the authority to the usa to prosecute crimes in international waters or in another countries waters. Like the pirate thing. I am glad that the captain of the ship is ok But who said it is ok for the USA to deliver justice in this case. If someone is a citizen of this country, if they commit a crime in another country( that they live in like Nigeria for example but they are a us citizen) does it give the usa the right to deliver justice just because it is American property?

They weren’t arrested with any "intent" to commit any crime, they were arrested in international waters for supposedly "illegally entering Israel". Explain.
