Does anyone have a full proof way to bake a boxed angel food cake @ 8000 ft above sea level? I used the high altitude instructions (add corn starch and less water) but the cake exploded out of the pan. I have used high altitude instructions before at my home which is 5300 ft above sea level without any trouble. Is it possible that you just can’t make angel food cake that high up?

I think it should be more at high altitude because there is a greater force of gravity needed to pull down on you. Any thoughts?

I moved my Honda from sea level to about 5,500 feet. It came by sea and over land. The entire trip took about 6 weeks. While on ship, the battery was disconnected. I don’t know if it matters that I bought the Honda new at high altitude, moved it to sea level, drove it there for 2 years without a problem. Now the check engine light is on. And the engine sounds funny when I drive it. Like it revs up. Any ideas? Is it the altitude change? Is there a way for me to check?
When the vehicle is sitting, it idles perfectly. But when you tap on the accelerator the rpm pulsates up and down. This continues even after 3-5 minutes

How does sound travel at very high altitudes compared to sea level?
1. same in both
2. faster at high altitude
3. slower at high altitude
